Why we collect this information and how it is used
Adage NYC, LLC wants to maintain the best quality merchandise and create a good customer experience while you shop our site and buy our products. We collect and use customer information to offer discounts, special promotions and product information, and to serve our customers better. Billing and shipping information is collected to fulfil orders. If there is a problem with an order, we use this information to contact you.
What we collect
When you place an order
Your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number if you provide one, and the contents of your order. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor and are never stored on our servers. We keep order records for as long as we are required to for tax and accounting purposes.
When you create an account
Your email address, a password you choose, and the addresses you save. You can view, change or delete this information at any time from your account page, or ask us to delete it for you.
When you sign up for our newsletter
Your email address, and only after you have actively agreed. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from the list.
When you use our scent advisor
Our site offers a conversational scent advisor. What you type is used to suggest products from our catalogue during that conversation. We store the conversation to improve the advice we give and delete it after 30 days. We do not store your IP address for this purpose, and you do not need to give a name or email address to use it.
When you simply visit
Standard technical information such as the pages you view and the general region you visit from. This is used to understand which parts of the site are useful and to keep the site running.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use them in three ways.
- Necessary. Keeping your shopping cart, keeping you signed in, and remembering your cookie choice. The site cannot work without these.
- Analytics. Counting visits and page views so we know what people look at. We use Google Analytics for this.
- Marketing. Measuring whether an advertisement or campaign led to a visit.

We share only what is needed to complete your order and run the shop.

- Our shipping partner and the carrier, to deliver your parcel and send you tracking information.
- Our email provider, to send order confirmations and, if you subscribed, our newsletter.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its data.
We do not sell your information. We do not pass it to anyone else for their own marketing.
Customer opt-in programs and email list removal
We safeguard our customers’ email addresses. We use them to correspond with you about order confirmations and order status, to offer discounts, special promotions and product information, and to provide customer care. If you would rather not receive the types of information described above, you can opt out of that correspondence at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@sourceadage.com and we will respond. Deleting your account does not remove order records we are legally required to keep.
